Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I am running for Campbell City Council because, as a new father, I want my son to grow up in a Campbell that has the same sense of community and togetherness we enjoy today. Historic preservation and balanced growth are key to this goal.

Campbell needs aggressive traffic-calming to maintain its neighborhood feel. Many drivers still drive too fast and "cut through" our neighborhoods too often.
Careful planning and managed growth can reduce these problems and keep Campbell's small-town feel.
COMMUNITY
My experience as a current Commissioner and former Chair of the Campbell Civic Improvement Commission, has reinforced my commitment to our community organizations. As a Civic Improvement Commissioner, I have consistently voted to advise the Campbell City Council to do our part for Campbell community members who need help.
Campbell's support of Adult Care Centers, Emergency Housing, Senior Meal Programs, and Counseling Programs ensures that our community's youth, seniors and less fortunate are cared for even in these difficult times.
If elected to the City Council, I pledge to continue my support of these important community programs.
PROVEN DEDICATION TO CAMPBELL'S LIBRARY
Campbell's library and its dedicated staff and volunteers have helped our County Library system earn a rank of first in the nation for a library system its size.
However, Campbell's library system is aging and becoming out of date. In addition to maintenance and upkeep issues, there is simply no longer enough room. Cubicle barriers have invaded the stacks to make temporary room for staff to do their work.
My work on the Committee to Pass Measures A&B (library bond measures in a previous election) and my service on the Library Needs Assessment Committee have shown that my dedication to library issues is a long-term commitment.
One council member alone, or even the entire council, cannot ensure the city will be able to build a new library, but I pledge to continue to be a leader on this issue and make restoring library hours and building a new library key priorities of my term.
EXPERIENCE
Campbell needs experienced leaders who can help guide our town through its current fiscal challenges. Planning for Campbell's future is important and difficult work that I am prepared to undertake.
As a Santa Clara Law graduate, I have the training to make informed and independent judgments about the effect new laws will have on our community.
In my law practice I have had the privilege of working with a team of lawyers representing cities and counties throughout California, including San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento.
As a current member of the Campbell Civic Improvement Commission, I have had hands-on experience in Campbell government.
As a former Firefighter for the National Forest Service, I know the value of hard work. I will apply that work ethic every day in my service to Campbell.
Local government has a direct impact on all of our daily lives. You can make a difference! Please contribute what you can.
If there are any issues that are of particular importance to you and your neighbors, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please remember to vote Jason Baker for Campbell City Council in November.
